To help offset expenses incurred by the club and to assist skaters with skating-related expenses, Roller Garden ASC holds a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. Generally, the amount of participation determines how much money goes into each skater's "account." In other words, the more you work, or others work on your behalf, the more you earn. Participating in a fundraiser is required to be eligible to receive money from the Nationals fund, which is a separate fund used for offsetting entry fees and expenses for skaters going to the National Championships.
For over 20 years, we provided staffing for Soda and Lemonade/Iced Tea booths at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
In 2012, we had our first Gold Medal Book and Media Sale. It was so successful, we've made it an annual event. We're starting work on our sixth sale now. For information about the 2017 sale, click here.
We are currently seeking donations of books, CDs, DVDs, video games, and records for our sale. If you can help, please contact Rhonda Studer. We are also seeking locations to host donation boxes for the months prior to the sale. Please contact Rhonda if you can host a donation box.
We also have had garage sales, basket raffles at our meets, candy sales, and other fundraisers as the opportunity and interest arose. We're always looking for new fundraising ideas.
