Artistic Skating Club
The Artistic Skating Club is comprised of skaters, parents, judges, coaches, and artistic skating supporters, with an emphasis on competitive skating. Club members who compete represent not only themselves, but their club and region.
Competitive artistic roller skating is truly an "equal opportunity" sport, as skaters compete against others in their own age group. Children as young as 3 and adults well into their 80s all have categories in which to skate. Skaters who medal at a National level "move up" to higher levels with similarly-skilled competitors.
Practice time for club members is available throughout the week. Members have the option of paying a flat monthly rate of $35/month or $7/practice. An annual practice fee is also available at the beginning of the season. Club practices are designated for specific disciplines; certain time slots are reserved just for figures, for example, although some practices may have more than one discipline on the floor at the same time.
Practice time is used by skaters to work on their skills, prepare for upcoming competitions and proficiency tests. This is also when skaters take private lessons.
The Roller Garden Artistic Skating Club is a member of the North Central Competitive Region of the USA Roller Sports organization. We are the largest club in the region, and count multiple National Champions, National Finalists, and Regional Champions in our membership.
Annual membership in the club costs $35. We welcome new members! You'll find a club where members support each other at practice and competitions, share their knowledge and love of the sport, and generally have a great time!
